One of baseball's greatest player. Gehrig was beloved by the fans because he was a humble man who played everyday without question because it was expected of him. He played second fiddle to Babe Ruth but together they made an unstoppable force helping them to win championship after championship. Perhaps and sadly he will be remembered most by the disease that took him away. Which now carries his name. My favorite Yankee of all time and I never even got to see him play. That is how much he is loved today by the fans.
