The most important quality to being a beloved athlete in New York is that you got to have heart. The fans demand that you play with passion and actually show that you care. Phil Simms definitely had heart. Winning a championship helps your cause too. Phil is very deserving of being on my list. The man played with heart and guts. He was apart of 2 of the 3 super bowl championships for the Giants. He should be in the hall of fame in my opinion. Hell he was the first to say "I'm going to Disney Land". What better reason to love the guy.
