Hey Joe you think managing the Marlins was hard. Welcome to Yankee Universe. Where in this universe the parts of god is played by Hank and Hal Steinbrenner. The part of Jesus Christ is played by Brian Cashman. I hope he has got some miracles up his sleeve. I know it is early but the season thus far has not been going so well. Joe has had to deal with a shitty schedule, no hitting, the young guns with 9 plus earned run averages, injuries, injuries and injuries. Oh yeah and a ineffective bullpen. With the exception of Joba and Rivera the bullpen has been sucking. Bruney might be the best option leading up to Joba but he has been hurt with a ankle injury. Farnsworthless is his typical suck ass self and now he has an hurt elbow. Hawkins sucks too. This guy to me seems that he can get the first two outs and then he can't retire the next four batters. What the hell is wrong with you guys? So what if Joba lost the game last night. No One is perfect. I don't want perfect I want consistent. Rivera is the best closer of all time because he is consistent. Joba has been consistent since he came up last year. The other guys have been consistent too. Consistently bad. This is the hell the Girardi has to deal with daily. Now he'll need to bring up some new arms to fill the void. Edwar Ramirez perhaps. Maybe even Darrell Rasner. Probably both. Folks the offense will come around. A-Rod will be back. Cano will hit. Giambi well Giambi hopefully will come around. This team will hit. The pitching is what will decide the fate of the team this season. That is where Girardi will earn his paycheck. Managing the bullpen specifically the middle relief is the toughest part of his job. If Joe can't get these bums to pitch consistently good then the Yankees are going to lose a lot of games. I believe that Joe will be a great manager and I believe that what happens this year will go a long way in determining that. Specifically the way he manages the bullpen will determined that.
