Jets Draft part 1

OK Jet fans lets see how you did on the first day of the draft. Lots of holes to fill on a very mediocre team. You had the 6Th pick. Lets see what you did. With the number 6 pick the New York Jets select D.E. Vernon Gholston from THE Ohio State. Great pick. The man is the pass rushing Defensive End that you've been missing since the days of John Abraham. From the New York post"

Gholston, a Michigan native, did not play football until his sophomore year of high school, but he played well enough thereafter to earn a scholarship to Ohio State. While there, he set a school record with 14 sacks in his junior season, adding to a list of impressive numbers.

In addition to the sacks record, Gholston ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds and bench-pressed 455 pounds. The Jets cited his speed, strength and “long limbs,” believing they had found the perfect outside pass rusher for their 3-4 defense." I think that pick will work out well for you fans.

Now the Jets also made a trade. I don't understand this one. They traded their second rounder number 36 overall and number113 in the fourth to the packers to get number 30 in the first round only to use it on T.E. Dustin Keller out of Purdue. Why? do you honestly believe that he wouldn't of been there at 36? Jet fans at the draft were flipping out. So After making a great first pick the Jets immediately went back to their usual bad drafting. You Jet fans know what I'm talking about so don't get mad at me. So you got a nice possession tight end. Great!! Who is gonna throw it to him. I still believe that you're weakest position is QB. I understand you have to go with Clemens and the Chad but it is not looking good. I think Bret Farve is available. Wink Wink. Today you must draft a wide receiver. Your receiving core is old and injury plagued. Memo to Mike Tannenbaum YOU NEED A WIDE RECEIVER!!! Despite the bad trade the Jets were able to fill a couple of needs. They badly needed a pass rusher and now they got one.
