The savior of the Knicks? Time will tell. After what seems has been a lifetime of misery for Knick fans Jim Dolan may have just provided the only ray of hope. He Hire former Gm then later president and CEO of the Pacers Donnie Walsh. Walsh will be the director of basketball operations making him the lone man in charge of restoring a winning tradition to the Knicks. He will most likely fire the hated Isiah Thomas as gm ans head coach by the end of the year. He will have the tough task of trying to evaluate the garbage of talent assembled by Isiah. Who stays and who goes? I say with the exception of Crawford get rid of them all. Especially starburry. The Knicks has so many needs where do you start. Well I believe you start at the top and work you're way down. I'm not sure if Walsh wants to act as the GM also but if not then he must hire someone who can EVALUATE TALENT. Not someone who throws tons of money at guys who suck. I'm all for spending money on free agents but ones who will fit into the scheme of what you are trying to accomplish. After Isiah gets the boot you must then hire a coach who will earn the respect of the players that remain. One who is so respected that GOOD free agents would want to come over and play. Then hopefully strike gold in the draft. God knows you'll have a top 5 pick. I believe the Knicks need a big man in the middle. What they dont need is another point guard. I think they have 40 on the roster. Either way whatever Donnie Walsh does he will have a tough job ahead of him and I wish him the best of luck. P.S. FIRE ISIAH!!!
