Mark may be Canadian but to us he will always be a New Yorker. That is how much the man is loved. He brought us the cup in 94. He is the benchmark for which all captains in any sport is measured by. I met the man and he is a class act all the way. He is loved for so many things he has done on and off the ice. I'd like to think he is loved because he cares. The man actually cares. He is our leader. He is and forever will be our CAPTAIN. Number 11. Mark Messier
