Mike Richter!!! What can I say. The man is my hero. This man played every minute like it was his last. He left it all on the ice. His career was cut short due to a skull injury. He is the best goalie in franchise history. A future hall of famer. Mike was the best player on his team for every single game they played. If Messier was the leader, Graves was the heart and Leetch was the play maker Richter was the backbone. They don't win the Stanley Cup without him. When his number retired by the team I remember because I was there not a dry eye was to be found in the house. It was amazing. 18,000 plus fans all with tears in their eyes because the man we've all come to love is not playing anymore. Mike will be forever loved because like Messier the man cares. Number 35.
