Hughes out!!! Rasner is in

The franchise known as Phil Hughes is out of the rotation after going winless and all of a sudden is hurt. Hughes is hurt with an oblique pull and is headed for the 15 day DL. He will join A-rod(quad) and Jorge Posada(shoulder). I was watching the game on YES last night and was wondering if I'm the only one who noticed Hughes laughing hysterically on the bench. Now if my oblique muscle was hurting laughing would not feel too pleasant. So I'm not buying the whole injury. I think they just wanted to give the 21 year old a breather to get composed. The Yanks are committed to him and he just needs to get tougher out there and challenge opposing batters and make his mark. Rasner who is 4-0 in Scranton/Wilkes-barre will take his place in the rotation for now. Rasner is a decent pitcher with good stuff. Nothing overpowering but he throws strikes and will challenge hitters. I hope Mr. KENNEDY is watching this because if he doesn't start pitching to his potential then he might come down with a sudden case of an oblique pull too and then Yankee fans will cringe because that might mean the return of Kei Igawa. WE CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN!!!!!

UPDATE!!!!!

The Yankees just announced that Hughes will now be out at least 4 weeks due to a stressed fracture in his ribs. Apparently Phil has been playing this way for a while now. What pisses me off is that he didn't tell anyone. What is even worse is that no one noticed that he was hurt. So now it is Rasner's job to lose now. I wonder what has been hurting Mr. KENNEDY? Oblique? Stress fracture in the ribs? Bleeding vagina? I don't know but tonight's start will go along way in determining how long he stays and more importantly in gaining confidence. He needs to feel like he belongs. He needs to attack. God help us!
